How do I install House of Hackney wallpaper?Updated 24 days ago
Digitally Printed 'Panel System' Wallpaper:
A single roll of our Panel System Wallpaper consists of 4 panels, each 45cm wide.
Once unrolled, separate the panels by cutting along the dotted line.
From here, lay the panels in the correct order 1/4, 2/4. 3/4, 4/4.
Please note that the panels come off the roll in alternating directions, so you need to change the direction of panels 2 and 4 so that they are facing the correct way, ensuring all the panel headers are at the top. These are clearly labelled.
The panels should be applied in numerical order from left to right. When you reach Panel 4, simply begin the next roll. Panel 1 of any new roll is designed to align perfectly with Panel 4 of any previous one.
Trade tip: Install the wallpaper from the very top downwards to ensure the pattern aligns as intended. (If you choose to trim from the top of the panel, take extra care so the pattern matches correctly.)
Digitally Printed '2 Panel Repeat System' Wallpaper (Roll A and Roll B):
Our 2 Panel Repeat System Wallpapers are made in the same way as our panel system above.
However, due to the larger-scale, it comes in two different rolls - Roll A and Roll B, designed to work together to create the full large-scale design.
If you’ve purchased more than one roll, you’ll receive both versions. Each roll is clearly labelled at the top for easy reference.
A single roll of our 2 Panel Repeat System Wallpaper consists of 4 panels, each 45cm wide.
Start with Roll A.
Once you've applied the panels from Roll A in order of 1 to 4, continue with Roll B, again following the sequence from panel 1 to 4. If you're using a third roll, return to Roll A; for a fourth, go back to Roll B, and continue alternating in this way.

Traditional Wallpaper:
Unlike our panel wallpapers, it comes as a continuous 10m roll and requires cutting and pattern matching during installation.
Tips:
We recommend painting rough stripes on the walls at 45cm intervals, using emulsion paint in a hue that matches the base colour of the wallpaper. Ensuring that if any wallpaper shrinkage occurs, it won’t be visible.
Slightly overlap each panel by a millimetre or so, so that the white edge of the paper cannot be seen.
