Is your wallpaper suitable for slightly textured walls?Updated 4 months ago

The better the finish of your walls, the better the wallpaper will look.

Please ensure that your walls are dry, even and firm before starting – this may mean scraping off any old, loose wallpaper, filling in holes or sanding the walls down. If the walls are a little on the old or uneven side, we suggest applying lining paper before hanging the wallpaper.

If your walls are textured, i.e. an orange peel finish, then lining paper won't be sufficient. We would therefore recommend stripping the walls or re-plastering.

Tip: When wallpapering a newly plastered wall, you’ll need to seal the wall with primer beforehand to prevent the paste from being absorbed by the plaster, which will in turn cause the paper to shrink.
