Why do lighter marks sometimes appear, and how can I prevent them?Updated 7 months ago

Due to the high volume of pigment and matting agents in darker paints, which give them their rich colour and matte finish, burnishing (light marks) can occasionally appear if the surface is brushed or rubbed.

To minimise this, you can apply a matte varnish as a protective topcoat. We recommend using Polyvine Decorators Varnish in a dead flat finish, which adds an extra layer of durability.
